My Friendly Lunchbox is very excited, again, about their new delivery of Crocodile Creek lunch boxes and bottles. The US based company Crocodile Creek, has a commitment to exceed rather than simply comply with quality and safety standards and their eye catching designs from artists worldwide are used for toys, placemats, bibs, puzzles and of course the adorable lunchboxes and bottles that we sell on My Friendly Lunchbox.  

My children, 6 and 4 year old, literally live in a lunch box shop (they would probably have preferred a sweet shop) but for both of them the Crocodile Creek products were the natural choice when they got to choose their own lunchboxes and bottles from our stock.

Crocodile Creek provides a refreshing alternative to Barbie and Ben Ten products as they make education fun – and with lunch box designs of wild animals, dances, and the solar system the products manage to educate whilst entertaining.

Crocodile Creek Bottles

The drink bottles from Crocodile Creek are made of food grade stainless steel #304, free from lead, BPA and phthalates. They take 400 ml and with a diameter of 6.4 cm and height of 17.8 cm they are perfectly sized to fit in most lunch boxes on the market. The cap and lid is made of safe, recyclable plastic and if closed correctly DOES NOT LEAK even when held upside down!

Stainless steel is probably the safest material for a reusable drink bottle as they are totally leach free unlike most plastic and aluminium bottles. CC recommends hand wash and you do have to be a little bit careful with the painted surface as the paint can scratch off.

Insulated lunch boxes from Crocodile Creek

The Crocodile Creek lunch bags are large enough to contain a drink bottle, food containers, cutlery and ice pack. An insulated lunch box is in itself much safer than a tin or plastic bag as it will keep food and drink fresh and cool, but these bags are also free from PVC, phthalates and lead. The lunch boxes have a front pocket, useful for a napkin, note or letter and at the back there is also a mesh pocket. I find it easy to wipe clean, both on the inside and outside and must admit that mine are still looking pretty good after almost a school-year of wear and tear.

If we decide to have new lunch boxes next year these will make brilliant bags and storage for favourite toys or crayons and crafts, especially for visiting grandparents or to keep them occupied during a meal out. We have designs for animal and fairy tale lovers, performers and knights.
